Luke founded Subtle Standard in 2024. He brings two kinds of experience to every site: professional software engineering, and growing an audience of his own.

A Computer Science graduate, Luke spent four years as a software engineer at a global technology company before founding Subtle Standard.

Fill in the short form or email hello@subtlestandard.com. A rough idea is enough. An existing website helps, but you do not need one.
Step 2
Get your free homepage mockup
We design your homepage so you can see how it would look and read for your customers. No cost and no obligation.
Step 3
Agree a fixed price in writing
If you want to go ahead, you get the scope, timeline and price in writing before you commit. Pay 50% to start and 50% when the site goes live.
Step 4
Go live, then keep improving
We put the site live and check customers can call or message you from any phone. Care plans from £35 a month are there if you want us to look after it.

Yes. We design it before you pay anything, and there is no obligation to go ahead.
Who will I actually be working with?
Luke, the founder. He leads the design and build and is your point of contact from the first message to launch. If a project needs specialist input, that is agreed in the written scope first.
How much does a website cost?
Local business websites are fixed price: Starter £495, Business £995 and Growth £1,950, or pay monthly from £49. No VAT is charged. Your price is confirmed in writing before you commit.
How long does it take?
Starter sites usually go live in about 5 working days and Business sites in about 10. Growth sites take 2 to 3 weeks. Timing mostly depends on how quickly photos, details and feedback come back.
Do you only work with businesses in Ascot?
No. We are based in Ascot and work with businesses across Berkshire, including Bracknell, Windsor, Maidenhead, Wokingham and Reading. Most of the work can be done by phone, email and video call.
Can you look after the site once it is live?
Yes, if you want us to. Care plans start at £35 a month and cover hosting, backups, updates and small changes. They are optional.
